INFORMATION

Team Captains are the first to register so that a TEAM NAME can be created. At this time, they will select a division and create a team name. Once the Team is paid in full, your Team Captain will create your TEAM by inviting individual racers to the Team using the Online Registration system.

The Team Captain is responsible for paying the registration fees for the entire team at the time of entry and you must pay for your team in full to guarantee your spot in the race. A Team Number will be assigned in early May when our bib order is submitted. Team Captains are able to make changes to team name and/or division prior to May 1st. Prior to race day the team captain and all team members must acknowledge the hold-harmless release forms online.

At the time of team entry, the Team Captain also assume responsibility for the equipment used with replacement costs of $15 per lost/damaged timing chip and $10 per lost/damaged kayak number assigned at inspection.

All registration is online.

One Timing chip will be issued per team; this chip is to be passed from one team member to the next. It is the Team Captain’s responsibility to give the chip to his or her team’s Cross Country Skier prior to race day. Teams that lose or forget their timing chips are ineligible for winning Awards.

REGISTRATION

Early bird registration ends January 31st at 11:59 PM. After this deadline, the entry fee will increase by $50 per team. Registration closes at 5:00 PM on the Wednesday before race day. Please note that registration is limited to 500 teams, and the race will sell out. Participants under 18 on race day must have a parent or guardian sign their online or paper entry form. Entry forms must be fully completed to be processed.

Please note that teams must be paid in full by May 1st to be guaranteed an official Ski to Sea competitor T-shirt. Teams paying after May 1st will receive a Ski to Sea Beanie instead. Participants who are not interested in a T-shirt or beanie will have the option to donate the cost of their merchandise to Bellingham Youth Paddlesports.

SUBSTITUTIONS

Substitutions must be made online by the team captain ONLY prior to race day. It is the sole responsibility of the team captain to ensure that the correct names are submitted online.

Teams needing to make substitutions of team members on race day MUST find a race official of said leg and submit a paper form prior to the substitute racing. This will ensure we have the correct name in the timing system.

REFUND POLICY

No refunds will be given for any reason once a team is paid. The Message Board is an excellent resource to find racers to complete your team if you have a cancellation.

All racers grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, records, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose and understand that their name will be listed in the results posted in media publications including but not limited online and newspapers. They further understand that one Timing Chip will be issued to the team and it is the responsibility of the team to ensure its return at the finish line of the event.
