FINISH LINE AT MARINE PARK, FAIRHAVEN
Although not technically a Leg of the Ski to Sea Race, there is a lot of fun and celebration to be had at the Finish Line of the Race in Marine Park. From the large Spectator Area, you can watch a kayaker hop out of their kayak and run up the hill to the finish line and ring the famous bell after their legs have fallen asleep. The foot of Harris Avenue in Fairhaven is where everyone gathers after the race for food and fun for the entire family.
Getting to Marine Park and Parking:
WTA’s red line bus (Route 1) will run four times an hour between downtown and Fairhaven and extra buses have been added for the day. Cost is $1.00 each way or you can use a WTA bus pass. Don’t hassle with traffic and parking, take the BUS! For more information, call 676-RIDE or visit www.ridewta.com
Getting to Marine Park and Parking:
Don’t fight traffic on Ski to Sea Sunday! We encourage spectators and racers to use public transportation, walk, or ride their bikes to Fairhaven.
WTA is making it easier than ever by dropping riders off even closer to the action. Buses will pick up and drop off at Fairhaven Station (401 Harris Ave), which is just 0.3 miles from the finish line at Marine Park.
WTA’s Route 1 will run every 10 minutes between Downtown Bellingham and Fairhaven from 10:45 am to 7:30 pm. Riders can also catch Route 14, which departs hourly on Sundays. Parking in Fairhaven will be extremely limited, so we recommend utilizing free parking in Downtown Bellingham at the Parkade, Depot Market Square, or on the street before hopping on the bus.
Rides are only $1.00 each way, and everyone 18 and under rides free! WTA also accepts all valid bus passes and the Umo mobile app. For more information, visit www.ridewta.com or call (360) 676-RIDE.
There is also a paid parking lot on 6th and Harris from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm and costs $20 for the entire day. All proceeds support Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition.
